John Lawrence has advised many leading financial institutions on growth strategy and innovation, and leads our creative and analytical thinking. He has worked with strategic decision-takers for over twenty-five years, over twenty of which as a founder director of Lawrence Somerset. Previously, he was Principal of the financial services practice at Booz Allen & Hamilton, and he has also served as financial services practice leader and head of strategy for an independent product innovation consultancy. He has also been extensively involved in developing and delivering training programmes in consultancy skills, innovation and decision taking to executives and both internal and external consultants. Before that he was with Shell UK in sales and operational research. He has a first class honours degree in Physics from Imperial College and an MBA from the London Business School.

Susan Sabey specialises in designing creative, market-based business solutions and heads our customer insight practice. A founder director of Lawrence Somerset, she has been a management adviser and market research professional for twenty years. She has worked with over 100 financial institutions and has experience of a very broad range of financial, media and professional services businesses, including public sector. Previously she worked in corporate finance at J Henry Schroder Wagg.  She is a full member of the Market Research Society, has an MA from Cambridge University, an MBA from the London Business School and is a Member of the Institute of Psychoanalysis.

Don Stewart is a founder director of Lawrence Somerset and a highly experienced market researcher. He has directed many projects globally, and is particularly adept at specialist qualitative projects. He has an MA from Oxford, and is a full member of the Market Research Society.

Janet Chisholm is a savings and investment specialist who has worked with Schroder Plc and Fidelity Investments in a number of roles. As a consultant in the investment management sector, she has advised clients on European and Far Eastern markets. She has a degree and an MBA from the London Business School.

Nick Moreno is an innovation consultant who plays an important role in our new proposition development work.  Before Lawrence Somerset, Nick was a senior consultant with an innovation consultancy where he worked in the financial services markets.  Before that he worked with several start-ups including an online market place for business services and a venture capital online network working with start-ups to refine their business plan/revenue model, establish operational structures & processes, hire staff and take them successfully through major funding rounds.  He has an honours degree in Economics from the London school of economics and an MBA from the London Business School.  He also is a qualified SFA Corporate Finance Representative.

Sara Burns specialises in financial and consumer research. She has 18 years experience of qualitative and quantitative research and, since 1989, has moved between the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. Sara was formally a Project Manager with SRU Ltd, working on retail and financial research. She has worked in Europe and Latin America, speaks Spanish and has a degree in Mathematical Statistics and Operational Research (1983).

Charity Randall is an associate with Lawrence Somerset, and most recently has been working on projects in the investment management sector.  Her speciality lies in research. She is an associate member of the Market Research Society and has first class honours and Masters degrees in Biochemistry from St Edmund Hall, Oxford.

Cinna Smith is a research executive with Lawrence Somerset. She is an expert interviewer and has particular experience in financial services and media, managing online communities, and creating content-based services. She has a degree in politics from the University of Canterbury, and an MA in Journalism.
